Our Process
Working with custom architectural stone is a process—not simply the delivery of a product. It begins with listening carefully to the client’s vision and applying our experience and expertise to bring that vision to life. For this reason, we prefer to become involved in a project as early as possible, allowing us to help evaluate key considerations such as selecting the most appropriate material for the application. With access to more than 800 varieties of limestone, granite, marble, quartzite, and other natural stones, we are able to identify materials that align with both the design intent and project budget.
Once the material selections are finalized and the project direction is established, we continue to support the design and construction team throughout the process with consultation, coordination, and detailed shop drawings.
Accurate and thoughtfully developed shop drawings are critical to the success of any architectural stone project. Equally important is ongoing communication between the architect, builder, installer, and our team as the project evolves and changes during construction.
Our “boots-on-the-ground” philosophy has long been a cornerstone of our success. Whenever possible, this includes on-site field measuring to ensure precision and accountability throughout the fabrication and installation process.
In addition to accurate shop drawings, comprehensive key drawings are essential to help installers quickly and efficiently understand the project and the intended placement of each individual stone piece. Clear coordination minimizes waste, avoids costly misunderstandings on the jobsite, and ensures a smoother installation process. This naturally leads to another critical component of a successful project: a highly skilled and experienced installation team. We have worked alongside our trusted trade partners for more than a decade, ensuring that our clients receive not only exceptional architectural stone, but also the craftsmanship and professionalism required for proper installation.

In addition to offering an extensive range of natural stone materials, our partner facilities utilize advanced robotics and state-of-the-art fabrication technology to create highly intricate and sophisticated architectural details. One of the most valued services we provide during the design phase is our Digital Dry Lay process. By integrating CAD drawings with high-resolution slab photography, we create computerized mockups that allow clients to visualize the actual stone within their space before fabrication begins. This process enables the precise placement and visualization of veining, movement, texture, and patterning, resulting in a more intentional and refined final product.
In addition to utilizing the latest fabrication technologies, our partner facilities employ expert carver masons with decades of experience whose hand-carved detailing, relief and sculpture work make focal elements such as custom fireplaces, pediments, plaques, and fountains truly cherished features of a home.
